To create a consistent level of knowledge and skills in the industry for all workers, the new training unit VU22744 Work safely in the solar industry will be a mandatory requirement for all workers carrying out Solar Homes installations as of 1st January 2021.
Future Energy Skills developed the learning resources and piloted the new training unit VU22744 Work safely in the solar industry before working with Solar Victoria to roll this out through Registered Training Providers (RTO) from late last year. Solar workers can study these training units free of charge by enrolling in 22515VIC Course in Working Safely in the Solar Industry and completing the pre-requisite VU22744 Work safely in the solar industry training unit first.
