Energy Efficiency Management Project

Energy Efficiency Management Project

Overview:

Energy efficiency is pivotal in advancing global decarbonisation initiatives. With increasing electrification and the growing adoption of clean energy technologies, the electrotechnology sector faces rising demand for expertise in energy efficiency management. To address this need and support government clean energy strategies, the industry has recognized the necessity of upskilling its workforce to meet future challenges effectively.

Future Energy Skills (FES) was commissioned by the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) to manage this critical project. Funded by the Department of Education, the initiative aims to enhance workforce capabilities through a structured approach:

  1. Course Development and Accreditation:
    a. Designed and accredited the Course in Energy Efficiency Management, equipping licensed electricians with skills to assess and address energy efficiency needs in residential and commercial settings.
  2. Advanced Training and Assessment Resources:
    a. Developed state-of-the-art learning materials and assessment tools, ensuring practical and theoretical knowledge aligns with industry standards.
  3. Public Awareness Campaign:
    a. Launched a media campaign to raise public awareness and stimulate interest in energy efficiency services, highlighting the role of skilled electricians in achieving sustainability goals.
