Futuretech wins Industry Collaboration Award!
Holmesglen Institute and the Electrical Trades Union (ETU) – Victorian branch have been presented the Industry Collaboration Award for their joint venture, Futuretech, at the 2017 Victorian Training Awards.
The Industry Collaboration Awards recognises an exemplary skills development collaboration between at least one employer or industry body and at least on organisation delivering nationally recognised training.
Futuretech is a pioneering training centre paving the way for the next generation of electrical and electro-technology professionals.
The training centre based in North Melbourne is focused on the future, with innovative programs preparing workers for careers in emerging fields. The centre boasts state-of-the-art technology and provides students with the latest learning innovations. Since opening its doors in 2016, the facility has trained more than 500 students.
The successful collaboration between the Electrical Trades Union and Holmesglen Institute is based on good working relationships with industry at the forefront of program development.
