The SpeakUP BuildUP campaign by the VRQA is aimed at protecting the rights of women and non-binary apprentices in building and construction. Through this campaign, the VRQA are working to ensure that all women and non-binary apprentices are treated with respect and receive the quality training that all apprentices should receive.
As an apprentice, your employers need to provide:
- a safe workplace
- appropriate supervision
- access to the tools and equipment they need to learn the skills for the qualification being studied.
